When did Jyotirao Phule get married?

Jyotirao Phule, who was 12 at the time, was married to Savitribai, who was at the age of nine in the year 1840. Although they would have no children of their own, they adopted Yashwantrao, a son born to a widowed Brahmin. 

Both husband and wife would play a crucial role in the field of social-reforms in Maharashtra.
