Section 2(16) defines Hunting in the Wildlife Protection Act 1972. Under the section hunting includes
- Poisoning
- Killing
- Trapping of wild animals or attempting the same
- Injuring an animal
- Killing the eggs of reptiles and birds or any disturbance cause to their nesting grounds
