Who is Medha Patekar?

Medha Patekar is a social activist who is a founder of the Narmada Bacaho Andolan. Medha Patekar has worked on various political and economic issues that affect tribal dalits farmers and the injustices women face in India. 

Narmada Bacahao Andolan) is a social movement spearheaded by native tribes, farmers, environmentalists and human rights activists against a number of large dam projects across the Narmada River.
