There are multiple ways to sketch a circle. Kids can either use a compass and sketch a precise circular figure or can draw a rough outline of a circle. It will be better to use a compass while sketching the outline of the circle to improve the precision. Practising how to draw a circle using a compass will ease their learning process in the higher classes. Kids can easily follow the instructions given below and learn to draw a circle using a compass and a pencil. 

• As the initial step of the exercise, collect paper, pencil, eraser, compass, ruler, black marker, and colour supplies. 
• Insert the pencil inside the compass and adjust the distance between the pointed tip of the compass and the pencil. The distance between these two points will be the radius of the circle that we are trying to draw. Kids can use a ruler to adjust the radius. To perform the exercise smoothly, make sure that the size of the pencil is smaller.
• Place the pointed tip of the compass in the middle of the paper and sketch the outline using the pencil attached to the compass. The image will not appear as precise as kids expect, so give more shots to improve the accuracy of the circle.

• After completion of the outline, use a black marker and trace the outline.
