• Collect paper, pencil, eraser, ruler, black indelible marker, and colouring supplies for sketching a window. 
• Before starting sketching, ask kids to develop a basic idea regarding the portrait they are trying to exhibit. Determine the size and model of the window. 
• Start drawing the window using a pencil and ruler. Draw a vertical rectangular figure in the middle of the paper to form the outer outline of the window. 
• After completing the outer outline, sketch another small rectangle inside the previously drawn rectangle to form the inner outline of the window.
