Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Non-technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Exam Qualifications 2021-2022

Candidates who plan to appear for the upcoming RRB NTPC exams must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria and have the required qualifications, which are essential to apply for the various posts notified by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)

4 Junior Accounts Assistant cum typist Degree from  a recognised university or its  equivalent. Typing Proficiency (on computer) in Hindi/English is necessary.
5 Senior Clerk Cum Typist Degree from a recognised university or its  equivalent. Typing Proficiency (on computer) in Hindi/English is necessary.
6 Senior commercial clerk cum Ticket Clerk Degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its  equivalent. 
7 Senior Time Keeper Degree from a recognised university or its  equivalent. Typing Proficiency (on computer) in Hindi/English is necessary.
8 Traffic Assistant Degree from a recognised university or its  equivalent. 
9 Commercial cum Ticket Clerk 12th or its equivalent with at least 50% of marks. 

50% marks is not necessary for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen category and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 stage).

10 Account Clerk cum Typist 12th or equivalent with at least 50% of marks. 

50% marks is not necessary for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen category and candidates who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2 stage).

11 Junior Clerk Cum Typist 12th or equivalent with at least 50% of marks.

12 Junior Time Keeper 12th or equivalent with at least 50% of marks.

Detailed Information on Medical Standards and Visual Activity Prescribed for RRB NTPC Exams

Medical Standard General Fitness Visual Activity
A-2 Candidates must be physically fit in all respects.
  • Distant Vision: 6/6,6/9 without glasses (No Fogging Test)
  • Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 without or with glasses and must pass tests for colour vision, Myopic vision, Night Vision, and Binocular Vision.
A-3 Candidates must be physically fit in all respects.
  • Distant Vision: 6/6,6/9 without or with glasses(Power of lenses should not exceed 2D)
  • Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 without or with glasses and must pass tests for colour vision, Myopic vision, Night Vision, and Binocular Vision.
B-2 Candidates must be physically fit in all respects.
  • Distant Vision: 6/6,6/12 without or with glasses(Power of lenses should not exceed 4D)
  • Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 without or with glasses when close work is required or while reading. And must pass the test for the field of vision (Binocular Vision) etc.
C-2 Candidates must be physically fit in all respects.
  • Distant Vision: 6/12, Nill without or with glasses.
  • Near Vision: Sn 0.6, 0.6 without or with glasses while reading or close work is required.
