RRB NTPC Eligibility 2019

The RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria, which is set by the Railways Recruitment Board, is as follows:

  1. Nationality
  2. Age limit,
  3. Educational qualification
  4. Physical fitness of a candidate.

RRB NTPC Nationality

According the RRB NTPC Eligibility criteria, a candidate writing the exam must belong to the following nationalities:

  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal
  • A subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 to permanently settle in India
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with to permanently settle in India.

RRB NTPC Age Limit

In accordance with the RRB NTPC Eligibility criteria, there is an upper and lower age limit set by the RRB for candidates who wish to appear for the RRB NTPC Exam. For the 7th CPC Level -2 and 3 (Under Graduate Level Posts) that date of birth of candidates should be between the years given below (both dates inclusive):

However, the relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the following categories/communities is given as indicated in the table below subject to the submission of requisite certificates.

RRB NTPC Eligibility – Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for the RRB NTPC exam must note that the RRB has laid down several educational criteria depending on the post for which a candidate is applying. Candidates must have at least minimum education qualifications as indicated in the table below from a recognized university board.

As per the RRB NTPC Eligibility criteria decided by the RRB, those who are awaiting the final results of the prescribed educational qualification cannot apply for any of the posts.

Accounts Clerk Cum Typist

12th (+2 Stage) or it’s equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks are not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST / Persons with Benchmark Disability / Ex-servicemen and candidates who possess qualification higher than 12th (+2 stage). Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on the computer is essential.

Junior Clerk Cum Typist

RRB NTPC Eligibility -Physical Fitness

Candidates will have to pass requisite physical fitness test conducted by the Railway Administration to ensure that they are medically fit to carry out duties connected to the post opted by them.
