IBPS conducts the Common Recruitment Process for RRBs (CRP RRBs X) for the recruitment of:
- Group “A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and
- Group “B”-Office Assistant (Multipurpose)
IBPS RRB exam was last conducted in 2021. The tentative Calendar for the year 2022-2023 was officially released by the IBPS on January 16, 2022. As per this IBPS Calendar, the preliminary exam for RRB Officer Scale-I and office assistants will be conducted on August 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2022. There will be a single exam for RRB Officers Scale II and III on September 24, 2022.
Examination Pattern of IBPS RRB Group A and Group B 2022
Candidates who intend to apply for the IBPS RRB 2022 exam should first register for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP for RRBs- X).
Online examinations will be conducted in different phases for various posts. Different phases of the exam for various posts are given below:
Online Examination for Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

- Officers Scale I and Office Assistant (Multi-purpose): Exams for these two categories will be conducted online in two phases. After passing the preliminary examination, the eligible candidates have to appear in the second phase of the examination i.e. the Main examination. Candidates who qualify in the main examination will be shortlisted for a common interview coordinated by the Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the support of NABARD and IBPS in consultation with appropriate authority.
- Officers Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Scale III: Eligible candidates for these posts will appear for a Single Online Examination. The candidates who qualify the online examination will be shortlisted for a Common Interview.

IBPS RRB Online Examination 2022: Points to Remember
- Every wrong answer will carry a penalty of 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question.
- If a candidate has not attempted any question, there will be no negative marking.
- For the posts of Office Assistants (Multipurpose) and Officer Scale I, only marks of the Main examination and Interview will be used for final merit listing.
- For the post of Officers Scale II and III, only marks of the Single online examination and Interview will be used for final merit listing.
- Candidates need to get a sufficiently high total score as well as clear individual tests.
