Qualifications and Important Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB 2023
The IBPS RRB notification for the year 2023 is expected to be released soon. Before applying for the upcoming examination, go through the various eligibility criteria and qualifications prescribed by the IBPS for RRB 2023 exams. The eligibility criteria is given below.

A candidate must be either: i) a Citizen of India or
ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) a subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. |

IBPS RRB Qualifications 2023: Important Points to Remember
- All the educational qualifications mentioned in the online application form should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised by the Government of India or approved by Government Regulatory Bodies.
- The results of the examination should have been declared on or before 28.06.2021 (closure of registration for the 2023 IBPS RRB examination).
- All the important documents and certificates need to be submitted at the time of interview for the posts of Officers (Scale I, II and III) and at the time of joining (or as per the instructions given by the IBPS in the RRB notification) for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose).
- Proficiency in local language mentioned in the notification is considered an essential qualification:
- Candidates who have already studied the required language of the State in standard VIII or above standard VIII would be considered proficient in that local language. Candidates should have studied the language from Government recognized Boards of Education/ School or should have valid certificates regarding the same.
- In case the candidate does not fulfil the criterion mentioned above, he/she will be given a time of six months from the date of joining to learn the language. More time can be given by the Boards of RRBs as per the rules, however, such extension should not go beyond the probation period.
