RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria

The RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria, which is set by the Reserve Bank of India, is as follows:

  1. Nationality: Candidates have to be citizens of India, subject of Nepal, subject of Bhutan
  2. Age limit: Candidates are required to be between the age of 21 years and 30 years (both age included) to apply for RBI Grade B Exam.
  3. Educational qualification: Candidate appearing for the RBI Grade B examination must be a graduate from a recognized university or institute.

RBI Grade B Salary

All the Officers selected through RBI Grade B Exam will be given the annual salary of 12-14 Lac. Along with this CTC comes numerous benefits and perks. The PayScale for the RBI Grade B Officer is Rs. 35150-1750(9)-50900-EB-1750(2)-54400-2000(4)-62400.

  • This means that RBI Grade B Officers will be having basic pay of Rs. 35,150/- in which they will get an increment of Rs. 1,750/- up till nine years of their service.
  • Several perks like fuel allowance (150 litres), maid allowance of 3000 Rs per month, phone allowance have also been provided.
  • Dearness Allowance (DA) of 113% of the basic salary of each RBI Grade B officer is also provided. After the reforms of the 7th Central Pay Commission, it has been revised to 125% of the basic salary.
  • As per the eligibility, other allowances such as newspapers, magazines, book grants, telephone charges, furniture, Life Insurance Coverage, Furnishing of Residence Allowance, Medical Insurance, and Educational Leaves, etc.
  • Reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalization is also provided.

RBI Grade B Online Application

As per the RBI Grade B Notification, Candidates can follow these steps to fill in the registration process for the RRB Exam.

  1. Visit the official website www.rbi.org.in and click on the link “Recruitment for the post of Officers in Gr. B (DR) General/DEPR/DSIM”.
  2. Separate links for Online applications for Gr B -(DR)-General and Online applications for DEPR/DSIM would be displayed.
  3. For fresh registration, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details, and Email-id.
  4. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system.
  5. An Email & SMS is sent to the registered email ID and the Mobile number containing Registration number and Password.
  6. Fill the remaining details in the application form.
  7. Upload scanned images of candidates’ recent photograph and signature, left hand thumb impression and a handwritten declaration within the dimensions specified ( Image dimensions: 200X230 pixels File Type: JPG or JPEG for passport size photograph. Image dimensions: 140X60 pixels, File Type: JPG or JPEG, File size: not more than 50KB for signature photo).
  8. Next, the application fee has to be deposited using Debit/Credit Cards, Internet Banking, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets.
  9. Candidates must obtain and preserve the ‘e-receipt’ as proof of successful fee payment.
  10. Finally, choose “SAVE AND NEXT” and verify the details in the form before submission.
