Chemistry Worksheets Class 12 on Chapter 13 Amines with Answers - Set 5

Amines are an important class of organic compounds. They occur widely throughout both plants and animals. They are found among proteins, vitamins, alkaloids, hormones etc. Amines are regarded as the derivatives of ammonia (NH3), in which an alkyl replaces hydrogen atoms. It can be primarily classified into three classes. A primary amine incorporates an alkyl group directly attached to the central nitrogen atom. A secondary amine holds two alkyl groups directly attached to the central nitrogen atom. A tertiary amine possesses three alkyl groups directly attached to the central nitrogen atom.
