MH-60R multi-role helicopters were handed over to the Indian Navy by the US Navy. India is to acquire 24 MH-60R ‘Seahawk’ multi-mission helicopters from the US under its Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.

• MH-60R is the most advanced maritime multi-mission anti-submarine helicopter in operation.
• The induction of these all-weather MHRs would enhance the Indian Navy’s three-dimensional capabilities.
