Context:
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Summit at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
GPAI:
- GPAI is a multi-stakeholder initiative with 29 member countries aiming to bridge the gap between theory and practice on Artificial Intelligence by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities.Â
- India is the lead chair of GPAI in 2024.
- GPAI was launched in 2020 with 15 members.
- Inaugurating the summit, PM Modi said that India will chair the GPAI Summit next year when the entire world is debating artificial intelligence. He suggested moving ahead cautiously considering both the positive and negative aspects of AI.
2. National Food Security Mission – Nutri Cereals

Context:
Central Government is implementing the National Food Security Mission – Nutri Cereals.
National Food Security Mission – Nutri Cereals:
- The mission is being implemented to increase the production of Nutri Cereals to meet their enhanced demand.
- The interventions covered under NFSM-Nutri Cereals include cluster front-line demonstrations on the improved package of practices, seed distribution & micronutrients, biofertilizers, production of certified seeds of High Yielding Varieties, plant protection chemicals, weedicides, sprayers, efficient water application tools, cropping system based training.Â
- Seed Hubs for millets have also been set up.Â
- Further interventions include breeder seed production, production of certified seeds, distribution of seed mini kits (HYVs), etc.
