Details –
PM Kisan Samman Sammelan, 2022
- Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Sammelan, 2022 at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.
- Kisan Sammelan is a means to make the lives of farmers easier and boost their capabilities and promote advanced agricultural techniques.
- The event brought together more than 13500 farmers from across the country and around 1500 Agri Startups.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sammrudhi Kendras (PMKSK)
- Shri Narendra Modi also inaugurated more than 600 PMKSK under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers.
- Under PMKSK, the retail fertiliser shops in the country will be converted into PMKSK in a phased manner.
- PMKSK will provide fertilisers, seeds, implements (agri inputs), and testing facilities for soil, seeds and fertilisers.
- PMKSK will also provide information about various government schemes and ensure regular capacity building of retailers at block/district level outlets.
Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Urvarak Pariyojana – “One Nation, One Fertiliser”
- Urea will be available only under the “Bharat” brand name in the entire country. It will help in reducing the cost of fertilisers and will also increase their availability.
- India is the world’s first country which has started production of Nano Urea – a medium to produce more with less cost.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)
- The Prime Minister also released the 12th instalment amount of Rs. 16,000 cr under PM-KISAN through DBT (Direct Bank Transfer).
- Total benefits of more than Rs 2 lakh Cr. have been released so far under PM-KISAN.
- Shri Narendra Modi also inaugurated the Agri Start-up Conclave and Exhibition to boost the startup ecosystem in agriculture. Also, an e-magazine on fertiliser was launched at the event.

Context – First SemiconIndia Future Design Roadshow in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Details –
- Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar – the Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship flagged off the first SemiconIndia Future Design Roadshow in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The Ministry had launched a series of SemiconIndia Future Design Roadshows across the country to give a boost to the semiconductor design industry in the country.
- The aim of such roadshows is to inspire start-ups, industry leaders and next-gen innovators to invest in the semiconductor industry and to develop a robust semiconductor ecosystem in the country.
- In December 2021, the central government initiated the India Semiconductor Mission with an incentive outlay of Rs 76,000 crore to attract investments in the strategic semiconductor sector. The programme aims to provide financial support to companies investing in semiconductors, display manufacturing and the design ecosystem.
- To work towards achieving the goals set by the centre, the Gujarat government announced its Semiconductor Policy 2022-27 and also began the process to set up a Semicon city in Dholera.
