BPSC Age Limit

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducts examinations to recruit candidates for filling administrative posts in the state government of Bihar. The 69th BPSC CCE Prelims exam provisional date is 30th September, 2023.

The BPSC 68th BPSC mains exam was conducted in May 2023.

Age Limit for Bihar Public Service Commission Exam (BPSC)

As per the latest BPSC Notification released in November 2022, the following is the minimum and maximum age limit for the exam:

  • Minimum age limit – 22
  • Maximum Age Limit – 37

The Bihar State Commission also bestows age relaxation for certain categories of applicants. The details of the age limit relaxation are as follows:

BPSC Upper Age Limit and Relaxation

General Category – Male 37 years
General Category – Female 40 years
BC/OBC (Male, Female) 40 years
SC/ST (Male, Female) 42 years

Age Relaxation

People with Disability 10 years
Government Employees (more than 3-year service) 5 years
Ex-Servicemen whose age is not more than 5. years 3 years + period of service

*Note about BPSC Age Limit 2023

  1. As long as the age limit criteria is set, there is no restriction as far as the number of restrictions is concerned.
  2. For government employees who have been in continuous service for at least three years:
    1. Number of Attempts: 3
    2. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit: 5 years
  3. Ex-servicemen who are not above 53 years of age, can avail the BPSC age relaxation of three years plus the number of years in service.
