DSSSB, also known as the Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB), is held by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT of Delhi). Its main purpose is to select suitable candidates for the Group “B” and Group “C” categories of posts, both Teaching and Non-teaching fields. DSSSB Exam Syllabus (For Tier I and Tier II Examination Schemes)

a) Tier 1 (General/Technical) Examination:
Section-A:
General Awareness: Questions from this part of the syllabus test a candidate’s general awareness of the environment and its social applications. This includes current events and questions from history, geography, general science, economics, and scientific research.
General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability: The DSSSB syllabus of General Intelligence and Reasoning Ability includes verbal and nonverbal questions. It aims to test a candidate’s problem-solving skills, visual memory, observation power, understanding of relationships, arithmetical reasoning, verbal classification, etc.
Arithmetical and Numerical Ability: This section covers Number Systems, including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Time, Work, and Distance, etc.
Hindi Language and Comprehension: As the name suggests, this part of the syllabus tests the candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the Hindi language. Questions on Hindi Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and their correct usage are commonly asked from this section.
English Language and Comprehension: Questions related to English Vocabulary, Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms and their correct usage are asked under this section to assess a candidate’s English comprehension skill.

Post-specific subject-related questions (applicable only for Tier I Technical post):
Objective Type: Multiple Choice Questions are asked on the subject concerned as per the eligibility mentioned in the recruitment notice.
b) Tier II (General) Examination:-
(i) Syllabus of Tier-I Examination is the same as that of Tier I (General) Examination.
(ii) Syllabus of Tier-II Examination:
Part-1 :
General Intelligence and Reasoning followed by questions Quantitative Abilities and General Awareness with special emphasis on the History, Culture, Demography, Geography and Economy of Delhi, Administrative set up and Governance in N.C.T. of Delhi. Computer Proficiency skills are also tested.
Part-II :
Descriptive: Essay (in English) and Letter Writing/Expansion of ideas (in English).
Skill Test: A skill test (sometimes also called an endurance test) is an interview round taken as per the job requirement. The subjects are the same as Part I of the DSSSB Syllabus Exam.
