Overview of the HP TET Examination Pattern 2023
The HP TET exam will be conducted for the following subjects:
- TGT (Arts) TET
- TGT (Non-medical) TET
- TGT (Medical) TET
- Language teacher (TET)
- Shastri TET
- JBT TET
- Punjabi TET
- Urdu TET
Eligibility criteria varies for each category.Therefore, before applying for the category of their preference, candidates should carefully go through the eligibility criteria given in the official notification released by the HP Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. Candidates can appear for more than one teaching category, however, they have to submit a separate application form and pay a fee for each category.
The HP TET exam contains various sections like Child Psychology and Development, Pedagogy, Teaching-Learning processes, general awareness etc but it differs for each exam. The HP TET exam contains 150 questions carrying 1 mark each. There is no negative marking in the test. Candidates need to score minimum 60% qualifying marks in HP TET. The following tables comprise the details of the HP TET exam pattern of various subjects for which applications were invited in November 2021 exam.

Points to Remember: HP TET Exam 2023
- There is relaxation of upto 5% in minimum qualifying marks and educational qualification for candidates who belong to SC/ST/OBC/PHH categories of Himachal Pradesh.
- Candidates who are in the final year of pursuing any of the teacher education programmes as specified in the Gazette of India notification dated August 25, 2010 can appear in the HP TET exam.
