INET is held for the various branches of the Indian Navy’s PSC (Permanent Service Commission) and SSC (Short Service Commission). It is vital to check the eligibility requirements before applying for the examination since it is critical to understand what qualifications are required to qualify for the INET 2023 examination. Both male and female applicants are eligible to apply for the INET 2023 examination, although there are a few positions for which female candidates are not eligible. INET Medical Standards
All candidates will be subjected to medical standards that are strictly enforced; no exceptions will be made. It is the same for all positions. Candidates must pass the Indian Navy’s medical criteria in order to be considered for any post.
Medical standards are carefully enforced for everyone, with no exceptions.
- Male applicants must be at least 157cm tall, while female candidates must be at least 152cm tall. Height relaxations are provided for specific regions.
- The candidate must be able to read 6/6 remote texts.
- The candidate should be wax-free (ears)
- The chest enlargement of the candidate should be 5cm.
INET Tattoo Policy
Candidates may get permanent tattoos provided they follow the requirements, for which they must have a self-certification signature. Permanent tattoos are permitted on the following body parts:
- Reverse side of palm/dorsal(back) of both the hands.
- Inner face-forearm from inside of the elbow of both the hands.
- Tattoos on any other portion of the body are absolutely forbidden.
Tattoos Permissible:
- Only tiny tattoos that are not prejudiced and are military diciplace, such as names of people or religious symbols, are permissible.
Tattoos Non-permissible:
- Racist tattoos are absolutely prohibited.
- Tattoos that are sexist or based on gender philosophy are not permitted.
Tattoo Policy for Tribal Candidates:
Candidates from Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes are allowed tattoo relaxations, and there are certain standards and restrictions that apply to the type of tattoo and the position of the tattoo on the body. However, such candidates must sign a self-certification in accordance with APPENDIX A of the official notification and the certification of tribal community membership and permanent tattoo must be certified by the two officials listed below:
- Chairman/Secretary or any higher-ranking tribal authority.
- DC/DM of the district/Tehsil where the tribe applicant resides.
Lastly, a candidate must ensure that he/ she should have all the necessary documents for the INET Eligibility Criteria. It is to be noted that ration cards and learner’s licences are not recognised as forms of identification and the signatures on all documents must be the same.
The Indian Navy’s decisions on eligibility requirements, acceptance or rejection of applications, penalties for incorrect information, mode of selection, the conduct of test(s), allotment of examination centres, selection and posting of the selected applicant shall be final. The authority will not consider any objections.
