What is the TNPSC Group 4 exam?

Nationality
The candidate can be a citizen of Bhutan, India, Nepal, or a refugee of Tibet who arrived in India before 1962 to establish permanent residence. Moreover, a person who has Indian origin and is an immigrant from Ethiopia, Pakistan, Malawi, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zaire, Uganda, Zambia, or Vietnam for permanent residence should obtain an eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Government.
Age Limit
A candidate should be aged between 21 to 30 years for Village Administrative Officer. For the post of Bill Collector (Grade I), Draftsmen, Field Surveyor, Junior Assistant (Non- Security), Steno-Typist (Grade II), Junior Assistant (Security), and Typist, maximum age is 30 years, and the minimum age is 18 years. There will be age relaxation in the upper limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

- For Village Administrative Officer post, the educational qualifications are successful clearance of SSLC Public Examination or any degree equivalent to it. Moreover, the candidate should qualify for college or higher secondary study courses.
- For Bill Collector, Junior Assistant, Field Surveyor and Draftsman, the candidates should have completed the SSLC Public Exam or equivalent. Moreover, they qualify for college or Higher Secondary study courses.
- For Typist, the candidates should have made it through the SSLC Public Exam and qualify for college courses or Higher Secondary courses for the typist post. Moreover, they should have cleared the Government technical examination in typewriting.
- For Steno-Typist post, the candidate should have cleared the SSLC Public Exam, passed the Government Technical Examination in Shorthand and Typewriting, and qualify for the Higher Secondary or college courses.
