  • In case of special educational Qualification posts, the candidates mustmention their options clearly, ‘yes’, in that conditions only they shall be consideredfor the posts bearing special education qualifications.”
  • A candidate who has (1) served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (2) obtained a “B” certificate of N.C.C. shall other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment.
  • A candidate who has: (I) Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or (II) Obtained a ‘B’ Certificate of National Cadet Corps, or (III) Represented the state in any game, shall, other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment

Who assists the District Magistrate in administrative work?

To assist a DM there are many officers like SDO, SDM, BDO available who assist the DM. To become a DM the candidate must first qualify for the UPSC-CSE exam and become an IAS officer. After serving as an IAS officer for 6 years, including 2 years of the training period, a candidate is eligible to become a DM.
