The Living Planet Index is an indicator published by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) every two years that documents the state of the planet’s wildlife and demand for resources.
It also gives a picture about the state of the global biodiversity based on trends in vertebrate populations of species from around the world. The Living Planet Index is managed by the Zoological Society of London along with the WWF.
