Why is Earth called a living planet?

The Earth is called a living planet because it is where all living things such as plants, animals, and human beings call home. 

The Earth’s ideal proximity to the sun makes it an ideal place for the growth of living organisms.The atmosphere and life supporting gases such as oxygen and its availability are also of significant importance on the Earth.
