Option of Challenging

Unlike other tests, NEET provides an option for students to challenge their responses by uploading each students’ OMR response sheet. In case after verification, students find any discrepancy, the same can be challenged.

Availability of seats

Applied, appeared and cleared NEET, what about seats? Ultimately a student appears at NEET for a medical seat. NEET, in view of ensuring deserving candidates secure seats in medical colleges in accordance with their scores, has categorized seat availability into two quotas –

  • All India Quota
  • State Quota

Any student who has successfully qualified NEET can claim seats under the All India Quota which reserves 15% of the total seats. In addition, students can also avail themselves seats under State Quota, from their respective states which reserve 85% of the total seats. Through NEET, seats can be availed in these quotas.

No Attempt limit

With the introduction of new rules remaining intact, there is no upper limit on the number of times a student can attempt NEET, which only takes a medical aspirant closer to his medical ambitions. However, the age limit criterion must be fulfilled. This is a major advantage, as a candidate does not have to compromise anymore for pursuing medicine.
