NCO (National Cyber Olympiad)

The National Cyber Olympiad is an annual cyber competition in India that is open to people of all ages. It gives a space for students from many disciplines to study and explore their abilities in order to boost their education. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur’s Department of Computer Science is hosting the cyber games. It has been successfully held three times thus far, in 2009, 2011 and 2016. Based on the achievement in the regional, national, or international examination, Olympiad participants can analyse their strengths and weaknesses. These tests offer a precise evaluation of students’ knowledge and encourage them to pursue academic excellence. Students that take part are evaluated on their capacity for logic and scientific thinking.

Regardless of their scores in school examinations, all children from Class 1 to Class 10 are entitled to compete in NCO or National Cyber Olympiad 2022-2023. The exam is conducted on 24th November and Date2: 20th December. A minimum of 5 students from each institution should apply for SOF NCO 2022-23. Each institution must choose a convenient time to administer the exam. It is not possible to participate as an individual.

Eligibility Criteria for NCO 2022-23

The eligibility for the SOF National Cyber Olympiad 2022-23 test is determined by the Science Olympiad Foundation. Each student must meet the requirements for SOF NCO 2022-23 eligibility. Check the following qualifying requirements for the NCO test in 2021-22:

  • To be eligible for the NCO test, the student must be enrolled at a school recognised by the SOF.
  • The National Cyber Olympiad is open to children in grades 1 to 10.
  • Before the final date, i.e., 30 days before the test date, the student must have completed the whole application form and sent it to the school officials together with the costs.

The primary goal of the exam is to determine the following abilities in students:

  1. Mental aptitude
  2. Logical reasoning
  3. Analytical reasoning

NCO 2022-23 Registration Process

The dates for the National Cyber Olympiad will be revealed on the SOF’s official website. Students can fill out the individual registration form on the official SOF website or complete the NCO registration form through their schools.

In order to register, a minimum of 10 students from each school must take the National Cyber Olympiad test.

SOF charges a registration fee of INR 125 to students (including GST). Students with a severe physical disability or whose parent was killed in a defence action are exempt from paying a fee. As a mark of appreciation for the teacher’s efforts in preparing students for the exam, the school may charge an additional fee of Rs. 25/-.

NCO 2022-23 Exam Pattern

The following is the NCO Exam pattern of questions is listed below

  • Section I contains questions about patterns, series, and classifications for students in grades 1 to 5. Section I contains both verbal and non-verbal thinking tasks for students in grades 6 to 10.
  • Section II contains questions regarding computers, information technology, and technological advancements.
  • High-Order Thinking questions are included in Section III. Every class has the same topic, however, the difficulty level continues to rise.

NCO 2022-23 Result

The SOF NCO 2022-23 result is now available on the official website. Students may verify the result of the NCO test 2022-23 by entering the roll number supplied on the admission card or by going to the school’s website. A participation certificate and a ‘SPR,’ or Student Performance Report, will be issued to each student. You are qualified for the scholarship based on your NCO 2022-23 level 1 result.
