Important Books for Konkani Literature Optional for UPSC IAS Mains

The UPSC Civil Services Exam is conducted in three stages- Prelims, Mains and Interview. Aspirants need to choose one optional subject for UPSC IAS mains exam. It plays a significant role in deciding aspirants ranking in IAS Exam. Recent trends show that the success rate of Literature subjects is soaring with years.

The Konkani language is widely used in Goa, coastal Karnataka and Maharashtra. It is included in the eighth schedule of the Constitution of India, making Konkani one of the 22 official languages of India. It is an optional subject in the list of 48 optionals of UPSC Mains.
