The cut-off marks for each stage of the Civil Services examination is released after the entire process is over, and after the final results have been declared. The Civil Services Examination has three stages – Prelims, Mains and Interview. The UPSC CSE (Main) Cut-off marks are subject to 10% marks in each of the seven competitive papers i.e. Essay, GS-I, GS-II, GS-III, GS-IV, Optional-I and Optional-II.

UPSC Cut Off for IAS Mains 2021
The UPSC Mains has been conducted on 7th, 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th January 2022. After the Main (Written) examination results are out, the Interview/Personality test will be conducted. The UPSC Mains cut-off score for 2021 will be released after the entire recruitment process is completed.
The official Mains Cut off marks for the year 2021 has not yet been released by the UPSC. Once it is released, it will be updated here.

Note:
Wherever two or more candidates have secured equal aggregate marks in the Civil Services Examination, the tie(s) have been resolved in accordance with the principles approved by the Commission, viz.
- The candidate securing more marks in the Compulsory Papers* and the Personality Test put together is to be ranked higher; and
- In case where the marks mentioned at the above point are equal, the candidate senior in age is to be ranked higher.
*Compulsory papers include Essay, General Studies-I, General Studies-II, General Studies-III and General Studies-IV.
