1. An Industry Meet ahead of ‘Wings India 2020’

Context

Indian aviation and technology leaders gathered for industry meet ahead of “Wings India 2020”, Asia’s largest civil aviation event.

Aim of the event

The main aim of this event is to provide a forum that will cater to the rapidly changing dynamics of the sector, focusing on new business acquisition, investments, policy formation and regional connectivity.

About ‘Wings India 2020’

Asia’s largest Civil Aviation platform- ‘Wings India 2020’ will be held at Hyderabad in March 2020.

2. World Economic Forum

  • The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation.
  • The Forum engages the foremost political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
  • It was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • It is independent, impartial and not tied to any special interests. The Forum strives in all its efforts to demonstrate entrepreneurship in the global public interest while upholding the highest standards of governance.

Context

  • Union Minister of Commerce and Industry & Railways will lead the Indian delegation to the 50th World Economic Forum (WEF) at Davos.

3. ELECRAMA 2020

  • ELECRAMA is the flagship showcase of the Indian electrical industry and a platform to connect the world with the Indian industry in respect of technology, new trends and innovation for the future energy transition.

4. NDRF celebrates its 15th Raising Day

Context

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) celebrated its 15th Raising Day

About NDRF

The NDRF is a specialised force formed to have a specialist response to a threatening disaster situation or disaster under the Disaster Management Act of 2005.
