About the Kargil War:
India observes Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July every year to mark the anniversary of the day India achieved victory over Pakistani infiltrators in the 1999 Kargil War.

2. MyGov
Context:
Six years of MyGov.
About MyGov:
- MyGov is a citizen engagement online platform that was launched in 2014.
- It has been conceptualized as a common platform for the Indian government to “crowdsource governance ideas from citizens”.
- The MyGov platform provides an opportunity to citizens and all stakeholders from across the world to share their views on key governance issues across all stages by directly engaging with government departments, policymakers and implementers.
- Since its launch, it has more than 122 lakh registered users.
- The platform is used by almost all government departments not only to consult on policy formulations but also for disseminating information to the citizens.
- It is also being used to address key citizen concerns.
- The MyGov platform is designed, developed and hosted by National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India.
