- The first seminar of Agni Tattva campaign under LiFE mission was held recently in Leh
Details:
- The seminar was held as part of the efforts of the power Foundation of India in association with Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA).
- The theme of the seminar was ‘Sustainability and Culture’.Â
- Ladakh has taken major strides towards sustainable development most notably in the areas of solar energy, geothermal energy and sustainable construction practices. This is in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of a Carbon Neutral Ladakh.
- Notably, Indian philosophy emphasizes sustainable development.

Prelims: Weapon systems of the Indian Air Force
Context:
- Government approves creation of Weapon Systems branch in Indian Air Force.
Details:
- The creation of Weapon Systems branch would entail unification of all weapon system operators under one entity. This would entail unification of operators of ground-based & specialist airborne weapon systems. It would encompass operators in four specialised streams of Surface-to-Surface missiles, Surface-to-Air missiles, Remotely Piloted Aircraft and Weapon System Operators in twin/multi-crew aircraft.Â
- This move would contribute immensely by enhancing the war fighting capability of the Indian Air Force.
