Context – Arogya Manthan, 2022 to mark 4 years of Ayushman Bharat – PMJAY and 1 year of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
Details –
- Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare inaugurated the two day long Arogya Manthan, 2022 organised by NHA (National Health Authority). It marks the completion of 4 years of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, implemented on 23rd September 2018, (PM-JAY) and one year of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), launched on 27th September 2021. Ir marks an important milestone in the direction of universal health coverage.
- More than 19 cr Ayushman cards have been made covering 33 states/UTs and over 24 cr ABDM numbers have been generated. GoI focusses to make health services enabled by technology reach every person in the country.
- PMJAY has narrowed down the gap between rich and poor in terms of accessibility of health care services in the country.
- Several new initiatives like National e-Rupi Portal, Health Claims Exchange (HCX) and Road Map for digitalisation were launched.
- Informative sessions discussing the roadmap for universal health coverage, promoting and enhancing the efficiency of PMJAY, adoption of Digital Health etc are included in the programme.
- A Digital Health Expo was inaugurated wherein leading innovators from public and private sectors across the country showcased their digital health solutions.

Context – Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between India and UAE.
Details –
- The India – UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) makes a significant positive impact on India-UAE trade.
- The India – UAE CEPA came into force on 1st May 2022.
- India’s non-petroleum exported products have grown by 14% year-on-year during June-August 2022. The growth rate of India’s non petroleum exports to the UAE is almost five times as compared to India’s non petroleum exports to the world, as India’s global non-petroleum exports during the same period grew by 3% on an annual basis.
- Indian imports, excluding petroleum, from the UAE during the same period (June-August) increased by 1%.
About CEPA India-UAE:
The historic India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed between the two nations on 18 February 2022, officially entered into force on 1st May 2022.

Details –
- The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi extended his warm wishes to the Jewish people around the world and particularly to the Prime Minister of Israel, Yair Lapid and the people of Israel.
About Rosh Hashanah –
- Rosh Hashanah, means “The Head of the Year” is the Jewish New Year.
- The biblical name for this holiday is Yom Teruah.
- It is Judaism’s holiest festival which begins on the first day of Tishrei.
- Tishrei is the seventh month of the Hebrew calendar which falls during September or October.
4. Bathukamma
Syllabus – GS 1, Indian Culture.
Prelims – Bathukamma Festival.
Context- The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has greeted everyone, particularly the Nari Shakti of Telangana on the auspicious occasion of Bathukamma.
Details –
- Bathukamma is a floral festival mostly celebrated in Telangana.
- The festival is celebrated by women, proclaiming the beauty of nature in brilliant hues of several flowers.
- Every year, Bathukamma is observed for nine days. It begins with Mahalaya Amavasya and ends with durgashtami, around September – October of the Gregorian calendar.
