• Dearness Allowance- Dearness Allowances (DA) are issued twice a year to compensate for price increases in essential items. On March 13, 2020, the Dearness Allowance (DA) was increased from 17% to 21%.
• House Rent Allowance- The House rent allowance (HRA) is determined by the posting location. The minimum eligible HRA in Class A, B, and C cities is Rs. 5400/- per month, Rs. 3600/- per month, and Rs. 1800/- per month, respectively. For A, B, and C class cities, the HRA would be 24%, 16%, and 8% of the basic wage, respectively. Because Delhi is in Category “A,” the HRA would be 24% of the Basic.
• Transport Allowance- The transportation allowances differ depending on the posting centre. It would be Rs. 3600+ in cities, and Rs. 1800+ in all other locations.
• Children Education Allowance- For children in classes Nursery to XII, an annual education allowance of Rs. 27000/- is offered. With an increase in DA, CEA rises as well. A hostel subsidy of Rs.81000/- per year is also provided for youngsters studying in the hostel.
• Uniform Allowance- Officers would receive Rs. 10000/ per year in uniform allowances.
• Other Allowances- In Delhi Police, the ration allowance is Rs 101.5 per day.
