Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) was established by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh on 22 July 1970 as a response to the needs and aspirations of the Union Territory, poised for full statehood in the Union of India on 25 January 1971. The online entrance exam for admission in B.Ed courses was held on May 27, 2022, the results of which were released on June 7, 2022. After the results, now a merit list will be prepared for each category based on the marks obtained. The candidates who have taken the test for admission into the 2 years B. Ed course in the Himachal Pradesh University’s affiliated colleges and institutes can check the HPU B.Ed results online, by following the steps given below:
Step 1: Candidates should first visit the official website at www.hpuniv.ac.in.
Step 2: Navigate to the Himachal Pradesh University homepage (HPU).
Step 3: Locate and click on the B.Ed Entrance Result link.
Step 4: Navigate to the Login web page.
Step 5: Enter your Login Credentials, such as your User ID and Password.

HPU B.Ed Minimum Qualifying Marks
The HP B.Ed result will be generated based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam. Candidates must achieve the University’s minimal qualifying marks in order to get admission to the university and the affiliated colleges. Minimum qualifying marks are set for each category. HPU B.Ed Merit List 2023
Following the announcement of the HP B.Ed entrance test results, the University also releases a merit list. This merit list will be published online and released on the dates specified. The merit list will be determined by the candidates’ performance and entrance exam results.
HPU Tie-Breaking Criteria
The university will create a merit list for each category. If there is a tie in the candidates’ scores, it will be settled on the basis of the marks obtained in each section in the sequence stated below-
- Teaching Aptitude & Attitude
- Language & Comprehension (Hindi & English)
- General Awareness (Majorly HP and India)
- Knowledge of National Commission & Committees of Education
- Logical Reasoning
If the tie is still unresolved, the candidate who is older will be preferred. Candidates should also keep in mind that simply securing a rank does not entitle them to admission. Counselling and fulfilment of qualifying requirements will be used to determine final acceptance.
