Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) was established by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh on 22 July 1970 as a response to the needs and aspirations of the Union Territory, poised for full statehood in the Union of India on 25 January 1971. HPU B.Ed Minimum Qualifying Marks

The HP B.Ed result will be generated based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam. Candidates must achieve the University’s minimal qualifying marks in order to get admission to the university and the affiliated colleges. Minimum qualifying marks are set for each category. Following the announcement of the HP B.Ed entrance test results, the University also releases a merit list. This merit list will be published online and released on the dates specified. The merit list will be determined by the candidates’ performance and entrance exam results.

HPU Tie-Breaking Criteria

The university will create a merit list for each category. If there is a tie in the candidates’ scores, it will be settled on the basis of the marks obtained in each section in the sequence stated below-

• General Awareness (Majorly HP and India)
• Knowledge of National Commission & Committees of Education
