RPSC Exam Date - Important Dates for RAS Exam 2022

Rajasthan Public Service Commission has released the tentative exam calendar for the forthcoming examinations in the year 2022. This article highlights the important dates for RPSC RAS 2022 and other exams.

RPSC is recruiting for various Rajasthan Government Jobs in departments such as Energy, Agriculture, Administrative, Financial & Statistical, etc.

Like every other year, this year as well the Rajasthan State Public Services Commission has announced the exam dates of 14 exams to be held in 2022, official notification regarding many of them will be released in due time. RPSC RAS Exam Date 2021

• RPSC RAS 2021 Mains exam will be conducted on 25th and 26th February 2022.
• RPSC conducted the RAS 2021 prelims exam on 27th October 2021.
• Results for RPSC RAS 2021 preliminary exam was released on 19th November 2021.

RPSC RAS Exam Pattern and Details

The RAS exam is somewhat similar to the UPSC CSE/IAS exam in terms of pattern and syllabus, however like any other State Public Services Examination, you’ll find more focus on the state-specific topics in the syllabus and a bit of variance in the way the exam is conducted. RPSC RAS exam recruits for posts under Group A & Group B category and falling in the pay band L10 to L14.

The exam is conducted in three stages and below we simplify and explain the RAS exam pattern for you:

Preliminary: 

This stage comprises a single test having 150 objective-type questions. The total mark of this test is 200 and the time allotted to complete it is 3 hours. Unlike some other State public services exams, the RPSC RAS prelims exam has negative markings. For each wrong answer, 1/3rd marks allotted to that question is deducted. This stage is qualifying in nature and marks obtained here don’t add up in the preparation of the final merit list.

Mains: 

This stage comprises four tests namely GS1, GS2, GS3, and General Hindi & General English. The tests are descriptive in nature and carry 200 marks each. The time duration allotted for each test is 3 hours. Marks secured in this stage are considered in the preparation of the final merit list. This stage lasts for a couple of days and two tests are conducted on each day.

Interview/Personality Test: 

The third and the last stage is where your interpersonal skills, communication skills, personality, and other qualities are judged. Total marks for this test are 100 and are considered in preparing the final merit list.
