The Bhadla Solar Park in Bhadla, Phalodi tehsil, Jodhpur district, Rajasthan is presently the largest solar park in India. The park has a total capacity of 2245 MW. This is as of 2020. In July 2021, NTPC Renewable Energy ltd. has received the go-ahead from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to set up a 4750 MW renewable energy park at Rann of Kutch in Khavada, Gujarat. This will be India’s largest solar park to be built by the largest power producer of the country.
