  • The longest-serving speaker of the Lok Sabha is Balram Jakhar.
  • He was a senior leader of the Congress party, a prominent figure in national politics, and a distinguished parliamentarian. 
  • He was elected to Loksabha in 1980 and 1984 from Ferozpur and Sikar.
