NSO Class 1 Syllabus

The National Science Olympiad is the exam conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation. It is a science Olympiad exam that is conducted for students studying in grades between 1 and 12. This examination encourages the students to understand their interest or choice in a branch of science, such as Physics, Chemistry or Biology and also guides them in pursuing their career in that field.

Overview of Examination

The NSO examination focuses on Science subjects, and it is categorised into two levels. The first is level 1, and the student who qualifies in this level will be writing the level 2 examination. The two levels of the NSO Olympiad exam start from grade 3. Students studying in Classes 1 and 2 will have only level 1 examination, and ranks are given based on their performance. In general, the exam is categorised into three sections.

  • Section 1 comprises Logical Reasoning
  • Section 2 comprises Science section
  • Section 3 comprises the Achievers section.

Class 1 Syllabus of National Science Olympiad

The syllabus of NSO goes hand in hand with the academic curriculum of CBSE, ICSE and different state boards. Students belonging to any of these boards can take up the examination.
