SSC CPO Exam Pattern for 2023

The SSC CPO Exam is conducted in four stages in order to qualify for the various posts in the Central Police Organization.

The four stages of the SSC CPO Exam are as follows:

  • Paper I
  • Physical Test
  • Paper-II
  • Medical Examination

SSC CPO PET/PST Exam Pattern

The SSC CPO carries out Physical Endurance Test (PET)/ Physical Standards Test (PST) in order to test the physical condition and overall fitness of the candidates. This is done in order to assess whether they are fit to do their duties required.

The candidates have to qualify for the PET test first in order to undertake it. The qualification criteria are given in the table below

  • 1.6 Km Race in – 6.5 minutes
  • Long Jump: 3.65 metres – 5 chances
  • High Jump: 1.2 metres – 3 chances
  • Short put 16 LBS: 4.5 metres – 3 chances
  • 100 metre race – 18 second
  • 800 metre race – 4 minutes
  • Long Jump: 2.7 metres or 9 feet – 3 chances
  • High Jump: 0.9 metres or 3 feet – 3 chances

SSC CPO Medical Test

The SSC CPO Medical Tests are carried out in order to test for any medical defects that may hinder the candidate in carrying out his/her duties. The criteria to qualify for the medical tests are as follows:

  • Minimum Near Vision: (better eye)-N6  and (worse eye) N9
  • Minimum Distant Vision: (better eye) 6/6  and (worse eye) 6/9
  • Must not have a flat foot, varicose vein, knock knee, or squint in eyes
  • Eye standards should be without visual correction of any kind, even by glasses.

  • As per the SSC CPO exam pattern, the Physical test and Medical Exams are to be conducted only after a successful score in Paper I & II. This is to ensure that the candidate is perfectly fit for the applied post.
