Exam Centres for the Post of IOB Specialist officer (SO)
All information pertaining to the IOB SO exam centres is available in the call letter, which can be downloaded from the official website. The admit card for the interview is sent to the candidate’s email ID, which contains details of the exam venue for the personal interview. Points to Remember: IOB Specialist officer (SO) Exam Centre

- Candidates should reach the exam centre at least 15 minutes before the reporting time mentioned in the call letter. Those who reach the exam centre late will not be allowed to write the exam.
- Applicants should carry their call letter, original photo ID proof and a photocopy of the photo ID proof. The name on the ID and the call letter must exactly match. Ration cards and learner’s permits are not accepted as ID documents. The following photo ID proofs are allowed for the IOB SO exam:
- PAN Card
- Passport
- Voter’s Card
- Permanent Driving Licence
- Bank Passbook with photograph
- Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph
- Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with photograph
- Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognized College or University
- Aadhar card or E-Aadhar Card with a photograph
- Employee ID
- Bar Council Identity card with photograph
- The use of calculators, books, cell phones and other electronic gadgets is prohibited in the examination hall.
- Candidates have to carry a ballpoint pen & ink stamp pad to the exam centre. Other items that are permitted into the venue are as follows:
- Mask
- Gloves
- Personal transparent water bottle
- Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- Rough sheets will be provided to the candidates at the examination venue.
- In case candidates are availing the services of a scribe, then they should also carry the Scribe form duly filled and signed with a Photograph affixed.
- In the exam centre, candidate registration will be done through photo capture and IRIS. Photos captured will be matched with the photo uploaded by the candidate in the online application form.Applicants must not change their appearance from the photo uploaded by them.
- Depending on the response, administrative viability, and other factors, the Bank reserves the right to cancel any of the examination centres and/or add some other centres. Candidates shall, as much as feasible, be assigned to the centre of their choice, but the bank also reserves the right to assign the candidate to any other centre than the one they have chosen.
- The bank will not entertain any requests pertaining to changing the examination centre.
- According to the Bank’s preference, the interview will take place at any centre throughout India (Physical or online mode through video conference).
- Any change in the exam centres will be announced on the Bank’s official website or by email.
- Candidates should regularly check their email and bank’s website, to keep track of recent updates related to the exam.
- The candidates who are shortlisted for the interview have to carry the following documents to the examination centre:
- Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter of the candidate
- Valid system generated printout of the online application form registered
- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)
- Photo Identity Proof such as Passport/ Aadhaar / e-Aadhaar Card / PAN Card/ Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card.
- Consolidated Mark sheets and relevant certificates for educational qualifications.
- Work Experience documents and certificates such as current employer’s, appointment letters, relieving letters, pay or Salary Slips etc.
- Certificates, namely CISA/ CISSP/ CISM / DISA / Certified Cyber Forensic Professional (CCFP), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFS), Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH).
- Caste Certificate given by a competent authority in the prescribed format
- PwBD candidates have to submit disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board in the prescribed format
- Candidates who are serving in Government or Public Sector Undertakings have to produce an original “No Objection Certificate” from their employer during the interview.
- A domicile certificate has to be produced by the persons who are eligible for age relaxation under “Persons ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1-1-80 to 31-12-89”.
- Persons eligible for age relaxation under “Persons affected by 1984 riots” have to produce relevant certificates from the District Magistrate.
- Any other relevant certificate or document in support of eligibility (if applicable).
