The 2023 recruitment for SBI Apprentice post is yet to begin.
The 2021 SBI apprenticeship recruitment began on July 5 with the initial application process. This year, the exam date is yet to be announced. Therefore, for candidates targeting SBI Apprenticeship Exam 2023, it is important to know the application and selection process of previous years. Also, if you are planning to attempt this year’s exam, you would be interested in knowing about the SBI apprenticeship salary per month.
Though the salary structure for the post may change on a yearly basis depending on the Dearness Allowance (DA), it usually ranges from 15,000 INR per month to nearly 19,000 INR pm. The salary structure also changes with the job location. It is usually higher for metro cities and lower for rural and semi-rural areas.

SBI Apprentice Salary Structure
The salary structure remains more or less the same for every year; that is, the selected applicants get a monthly stipend (fixed) during their recruitment while the increment amount (variable) is added post appraisal on a yearly basis. As an apprentice, a candidate can work with SBI for at least a year to a maximum of 3 years. During the three years’ period, the salary increment takes the following route:

SBI Apprentice Salary 2023 Allowances
Employees working in a nationalized or autonomous bank are entitled to certain allowances like Dearness Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Leased House Rent Allowance, Travel Allowance, Furniture Allowance etc. The amount of allowance depends upon the post the employee holds or the Grade of work they are responsible for. For example, bank employees are eligible for getting about 46% of the basic salary as the Dearness Allowance or the DA.
