SIDBI Recruitment Eligibility
Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is the authority to set the SIDBI eligibility criteria. Candidates who wish to appear for the SIDBI exam must go through the SIDBI Grade A eligibility conditions carefully and should fulfill all the Small Industries Development Bank of India Exam eligibility conditions before applying to the exam.Â
The Small Industries Development Bank of India eligibility are classified as under –
- SIDBI Age Limit for Grade A – candidates between age group 21 to 28 can appear for the examÂ
- SIDBI Educational Qualification for Grade A – candidates with graduation or post graduation degree from a government recognized university can apply for the SIDBI recruitment
- SIDBI Nationality – candidates belonging to Indian nationality are eligible for the SIDBI Assistant manager recruitment.Â

SIDBI Notification – Registration for Assistant Manager Post
Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the SIDBI Notification are required to fill the SIDBI Recruitment registration form.
- New applicants are required to register themselves while old applicants have to login using their registration ID and Password.
- Candidates are required to fill in the necessary details, name, date of birth, father’s name, education qualification, etc.
- Then proceed with uploading of Photo, Signature, Left thumb impression and hand written declaration.Â

SIDBI Selection Process
The selection process of SIDBI recruitment is done in two stages:Â
- Online Written exam – The written exam is conducted online and divided in two parts –
- Part 1: online objective written test
- Part 2: online descriptive written test
- Following the descriptive test, candidates are called for the Personal Interview round. The candidates who qualify based on the minimum cut -off marks decided by SIDBI, would be called for an interview.
As per GoI guidelines, Pre-recruitment training (PRT) would be conducted for SC/ST/OBC candidates for 8 days’ duration. Accordingly, PRT would be conducted for willing SC/ST /OBC candidates whose applications are found eligible as per the eligibility criteria stipulated by SIDBI. PRT would be conducted Online. Candidates who desire to avail of the training programme may indicate their willingness while filling the online application form.
Important Note: –Â
- Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the interview if he/ she fails to produce the relevant eligibility documents as mentioned in the notification and SC/ST/PwBD candidates shall also not be reimbursed to and fro journey fare.
- Appointments of selected candidates will be subject to his / her being declared medically fit by Bank Medical Officer, satisfactory report about his / her character and antecedents by the Police Authorities, satisfactory report from his / her previous employer and referees, verification of caste / tribe and class certificate and completion of all other pre recruitment formalities to the complete satisfaction of SIDBI. Further, such appointment shall also be subject to Service and Conduct Rules of SIDBI.
- The selected candidate will be required to execute a Service Bond undertaking to serve SIDBI for a period of 3 years or to pay SIDBI, a sum of `2 Lakh in case he/she leaves SIDBI before the completion of the 3 year service period.
SIDBI Notification – Syllabus and Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for the written exam in SIDBI recruitment is as follows –
The written objective test will comprise questions from 4 subjects-Â
- Reasoning Ability
- Quantitative Aptitude
- General Awareness (With special reference to Banking and Financial Sector and Economic and Social Issues)Â
- English Language
Objective test will be of 200 marks and candidates will be given 120 minutes to complete the test.Â
For objective type of tests, there will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidates. For every wrong answer marked by a candidate, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty.
The Written Descriptive Test will comprise 3 questions of 50 marks : Two on Essay writing and One letter writing. All the 3 questions are compulsory to attempt. Â
All tests, except the English Language and Descriptive test will be provided in both English and Hindi. The total marks of the examination will be 250 which include 50 marks of the English Descriptive Section.
