Eligibility Criteria for the South Indian Bank Legal Officer 2023

It is extremely important that candidates go through the eligibility criteria given in the official notification before applying for any exam. Applicants who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria are not considered for the post and their candidature is cancelled. 

Given that the official notification for the upcoming Legal officer exam is yet to be released, candidates can go through the eligibility criteria laid down by the South Indian Bank for the same post in 2021. Important information pertaining to the upcoming notification will be updated here as and when it is available on the official website of the South Indian Bank. Note:

  • Candidates who score less than 60% marks will not be eligible to apply for the position of Legal officer. Rounding off the percentage marks to the nearest integer is not permitted (for e.g. 59.99% cannot be rounded off to 60%).
  • The percentage of marks will be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained in all the subjects in all the semesters or years by the total maximum marks in all subjects.

Points to Remember: South Indian Bank Probationary Officer (Legal)

Candidates should keep the following points in mind while applying for the Legal officer position at the South Indian Bank:

  • Applicants should go through eligibility criteria i.e. age and educational qualification given in the official notification carefully and then apply for the examination.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted based on the information provided by them in the online application form. Therefore, applicants should be very careful while filling out the form. If the bank finds out at a later stage that the candidate has furnished wrong information in the application form, then his/her candidature will be cancelled or the appointment will liable for termination.
  • SC and ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation in their upper age by five years. Hence, they have to submit attested copies of certificates from a competent authority to prove their status in this regard whenever required.
  • Candidates who secure CGPA/ Grade equivalent  to 60% or more should only apply for the post of Legal officer. Applicants whose Universities or colleges award CGPA or Grade instead of marks should produce a percentage conversion certificate from their University when asked for.
