Pichwai Paintings [UPSC Art & Culture Notes]

Pichwai Paintings are a traditional form of painting originating from the state of Rajasthan. A training session for artists on different types of paintings such as Tanjore (of Andhra Pradesh), Gond (Madhya Pradesh) and Pitchwai paintings (of Rajasthan) was held by an institution named Creative Soul in April 2023. Hence, it is important to know about these art forms for the IAS exam, particularly the IAS Prelims exam. In this article, we discuss the Pichwai paintings of Rajasthan.
