• Themed “Empowering Research, Enhancing Proficiency,” the event focused on homoeopathic research, clinical practice, and market insights.
• Renowned homoeopathic practitioners shared their experiences in managing challenging cases, while veterinarians showcased positive results of homoeopathy in animal cases.
• Researchers and scientists presented findings from key research activities, with panel discussions covering topics like translational research, education reforms, global perspectives, and quality assurance in homoeopathic medicines.

2. India-Peru Trade Agreement Negotiations

Prelims: India-Peru Trade Agreement

Context: The seventh round of negotiations for the India-Peru Trade Agreement concluded in New Delhi from April 8 to April 11, 2024. This significant event aimed to deepen economic cooperation between the two nations and foster mutual benefits through trade agreements.

Negotiation Process:

• The discussions focused on understanding each other’s priorities and concerns, ensuring that negotiations were rooted in mutual respect and benefit.
• Officials highlighted the historical diplomatic relations between India and Peru, dating back to the 1960s, and the recent bilateral discussions that led to the resumption of negotiations.
• The negotiating teams emphasized the importance of understanding strengths, respecting sensitivities, and engaging in explorative approaches to gainful negotiations.

Participants and Discussions:

• Around sixty delegates from both sides participated in the negotiations, representing various departments and ministries.
• Discussions encompassed chapters including Trade in Goods, Trade in Services, Movement of Natural Persons, Rules of Origin, and others.
