Context: The seventh round of negotiations for the India-Peru Trade Agreement concluded in New Delhi from April 8 to April 11, 2024. This significant event aimed to deepen economic cooperation between the two nations and foster mutual benefits through trade agreements.

  • The discussions focused on understanding each other’s priorities and concerns, ensuring that negotiations were rooted in mutual respect and benefit.
  • Officials highlighted the historical diplomatic relations between India and Peru, dating back to the 1960s, and the recent bilateral discussions that led to the resumption of negotiations.
