Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) conducts various competitive examinations and departmental tests for the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The APPSC Group-I exam is conducted in 3 phases i.e.
- Screening Test (Written exam- Objective type)
- Mains (Written exam- Descriptive type)
- Interview
In 2021, the Government of Andhra Pradesh decided to abolish interviews for Group I services and all other competitive examinations conducted by APPSC henceforth. Therefore, the upcoming Group I examinations will no longer have interview or personality tests. Hence, if a candidate aims to pass the Group-I examination, then he/she must completely focus on the Mains component. APPSC screening test written exam
The APPSC screening test comprises Paper 1 (General Studies) and Paper 2 (General Aptitude).
The preliminary examination comprises questions of objective type pertaining to the following topics:

The Mains written exam is descriptive in nature. The Mains examination comprises seven papers. Two papers are of qualifying nature.
