UPSC CDS I & II Results 2022-23: One of the most sought-after positions in the defence sector is offered by UPSC CDS, for which a large number of candidates applied.
The CDS I 2023 final results were declared on 4th May 2023. 6518 candidates qualified.
The results of the written test conducted to fill CDS I positions were released on 4th May 2023. UPSC CDS II Written Result 2021
The Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2021 Final result was released on December 24, 2021. The written exam for CDS 2 2021 was held on November 14, 2021, and the result for the same was released on December 22, 2021. The written exam result with the name was released on 23rd December 2021.
On the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2021 held by the Union Public Service Commission on 14th November 2021, 6845 candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board. UPSC CDS I Final Result 2021
The CDS I Final result 2021 was released on 24th December 2021 by the commission. In order of merit, 154 (85 +58 +11) candidates have
qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2021 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in February 2021 and SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 152nd Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course. UPSC CDS II Final Result 2020
Union Public Service Commission has released Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2020 (OTA) on 1st October 2021. The commission has released the CDS 2 Final Result 2020 on 16th July 2021. 129 candidates have qualified Combined Defence Services Examination (II). The final result of UPSC CDS-II has come out after the examination took place in November, followed by interviews held by SSB.
2702, 1246 and 0607 candidates were recommended by UPSC as qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy, respectively. Out of these; 71, 49 and 09 candidates have been selected in the respective academy post SSB interviews.
Points to note:
- The results of the Medical Examination of candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the merit list.
- Therefore, the candidature of all the candidates is Provisional.
- Verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualification of these Candidates will be done by Army Head Quarter.
- Marks of the candidates will be available on the website after the declaration of the final result of Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2020.

UPSC CDS I Final Result 2020
The government had intimated 225 vacancies for the 113th Short Service Commission Course (for Men); and 16 vacancies for 27th Short Service Commission Women (NonTechnical) Course. Out of these, 96 and 51 finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2020 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission.
UPSC had declared the CDS 1 2020 Final Result on 24th May 2021. 147 candidates qualified for the CDS 1 exam.

The candidature of all the candidates, whose Roll Numbers are shown in the lists below, is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of admission to the examination, they are required to submit the Original Certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing), etc. The Original Certificates are to be submitted not later than 1st January, 2022 for IMA & INA, not later than 13th November 2021 for AFA not later than 1st April, 2022 in case of SSC Course only. The candidates must not send the Original Certificates to the Union Public Service Commission.

The Union Public Service Commission has released the CDS 1 2020 Final Result on February 5th 2021. The Commission had recommended 2614, 1429 and 632 as qualified in the written test. CDS Result
The Union Public Service Commission announces the result of CDS exam stage-wise. Firstly, the CDS result for the written exam is declared, candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks in this exam are called for the SSB interview.Â

Candidates who stood successful in the written exam have to register themselves online on (www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, www.joinindiannavy.gov.in, and www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in ) within two weeks of announcement of CDS result for the written exam.
Registration on the given sites is important as candidates will be given their allotted Selection Centres and dates of SSB interview. Those who have already registered earlier on the site do not have to do the same.
The commission publicises the CDS final result taking into consideration the performance of candidates in the written exam and SSB Interview.Â

UPSC on 1st September has announced the CDS II 2019 final result. The important date for CDS II result 2019 are as follows-

Candidates who made it to the CDS final result can check the CDS Salary and allowances offered at the initial stage. Â
The Commission had recommended 2699, 1592 and 611 candidates as qualified in the CDS result 2019 written test. The number of candidates finally qualified are those after the SSB test. A total of 196 (106 +76 +14) candidates have been recommended for selection in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA).Â

- Go to the ‘what’s new’ section
- Click on the CDS result link on the home page
- Enter the Roll Number and Date of Birth
- CDS Result 2020 will open in PDF format
- Press Ctrl+F and search for your name and roll number, if shortlisted your name will be highlighted.
- Save and download CDS Result PDF for future reference.Â
CDS Marksheet
CDS mark sheet comprises the final scores obtained by candidates in the written test and SSB interview. UPSC publishes the final CDS scorecard of qualified candidates after the declaration of final CDS result.Â
CDS mark sheet is made available in 15 days from the date of release of CDS final result and candidates are given 30 days time to download the CSD scorecard. The scorecard of CDS exam display the following information-
- Name of the candidates
- Roll numbers
- Sectional and Overall scores
To download the CDS Scorecard candidates have to log on to UPSC website and follow the same procedure as they do to check the result.
The commission also displays the CDS scorecard of candidates who appeared in SSB interview but failed to qualify the same. Candidates should know that the mark sheet released by the commission is valid for one year.Â

CDS Marking Scheme
The Union Public Service Commission follows a pattern for calculation of scores. The scores of candidates mentioned in the CDS mark sheet are calculated by UPSC (for the written exam) and Service selection Board (For SSB interview).
 The CDS marking scheme that is prescribed in the official notification and is followed by the commission for calculation of final scores is as mentioned below-
- For the correct answer in each section of the test, candidates are awarded 1 marks
- For each wrong answer, a candidate loses 1/3 marks.
- If candidates do not mark any answer, no marks are deducted or awarded.
- In case candidates mark more than one option, it will be treated as the wrong answer and 1/3rd marks will be deducted.
- The total score is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers i.e.
CDS Final Score = Number of correct answers x 1 – Number of incorrect answers x 0.33 |

CDS Cut OffÂ
The UPSC releases CDS Cut Off after the completion of the recruitment process. The cut-off marks for the CDS exam is different for the written examination and the SSB Interview round. Candidates have to score the minimum cut-off as set by UPSC in both the written as well as the interview round.Â
For selection to the IMA, INA, AFA and OTA, candidates need to secure at least 20% in each subject in the written exam. Candidates securing the minimum CDS cut off in the written exam will be called for the SSB Interview.Â
For the year 2021, the cut off for IMA and INA are expected to remain around 110 while for AFA the cut-off maybe 140.
