CDS Marking Scheme
The Union Public Service Commission follows a pattern for calculation of scores. The scores of candidates mentioned in the CDS mark sheet are calculated by UPSC (for the written exam) and Service selection Board (For SSB interview).
The CDS marking scheme that is prescribed in the official notification and is followed by the commission for calculation of final scores is as mentioned below-
- For the correct answer in each section of the test, candidates are awarded 1 marks
- For each wrong answer, a candidate loses 1/3 marks.
- If candidates do not mark any answer, no marks are deducted or awarded.
- In case candidates mark more than one option, it will be treated as the wrong answer and 1/3rd marks will be deducted.
- The total score is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers i.e.
|CDS Final Score = Number of correct answers x 1 – Number of incorrect answers x 0.33|
