CDS Answer Key 2023 – The Union Public Service Commission publishes CDS Answer Key for Combined Defence Services exam on the official website. The UPSC CDS answer key is released in PDF format separately for English, GK and Elementary Mathematics. The CDS Answer Key 2023 will be released after the completion of the exam.

How To Download CDS Answer Key?

Aspirants are required to download the UPSC CDS Answer Key 2023 by visiting the official website. No login credential is required to download the CDS Answer key. Candidates are required to follow the steps mentioned below to view or download CDS Answer Key 2023.

Step 1 – Visit the Official site of UPSC i.e. (upsc.gov.in)

Step 2 – In the Main Menu on the Homepage, Click on the Examination Tab.

Step 3 – Select the ‘Answer keys’ tab from the drop-down menu

Step 4 – The answer keys for various examinations conducted by the commission is displayed on the screen. Click on the link to Download UPSC CDS Answer Key 2023 exam.

How to Calculate Score Using CDS Answer Key?

The answer key published by the commission is helpful to calculate an estimate of the final score that candidates will obtain. With the knowledge of marking criteria of the CDS exam and the answer key, it is possible to get an estimation of the overall score.

For calculation of the scores, candidates must know the marking scheme followed in the exam, which is as follows for CDS – 

1. For the correct answer, candidates need to allot 1 mark or the marks assigned to the particular question.
2. There is a penalty for wrong answers. Hence, for every incorrect answer, candidates will lose 1/3 marks as per the exam pattern of CDS examination.
3. On marking more than one answer for a question, again candidates lose 1/3rd marks as it is counted as the wrong answer.
4. If a question is left unattempted, there will be no penalty for that question. 

UPSC calculates the scores based on the number of correct answers after applying the penalty for wrong answers.

Likewise, note down your number of correct and incorrect answers, award 1 mark for correct questions and deduct 0.33 marks for incorrect ones and you will arrive at the predicted final score.
