SSC CGL Notification 2019- 2020 Exam

The commission will release SSC CGL Notification 2020 (Combined Graduate Level Exam) in September/October 2020. The SSC CGL Recruitment is conducted every year by the Staff Election Commission for recruiting candidates into various departments, Ministries and offices under the Government of India. The official notification of SSC CGL recruitment 2019 has been released by the Staff Selection Commission on 22nd October 2019 for which the exams will be conducted in the year 2020. SSC CGL Registration Process

To fill the SSC CGL Application Form 2020 candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Step 1- Go to the Official website of SSC.
  • Step 2- Select the SSC CGL application form from the dropdown menu and click on the Apply button.
  • Step 3- You will be redirected to a new window where you need to click on the New registration application window and on the register button.
  • Step 4- Provide your basic details like Name Date of Birth, Mobile Number, etc.
  • Step 5- Click on the submit button to complete the 1st SSC CGL registration process.
  • Step 6- You will be provided with a Registration ID. You need to log in using this registration ID, Password and Date of Birth to complete the next step of SSC CGL registration process.
  • Step 7- Candidates need to upload their recent passport size photograph and a scanned copy of the signature.
  • Note- The photograph should be of the dimensions asked for and it should be a recent one. The signature must be done using a white/black ink on a white sheet
  • Step 8- Re-Login with your Registration ID, password to complete the remaining steps.

Q.1. How many SSC CGL Vacancies are released for the year 2020?

Ans. The number of vacancies in SSC CGL 2020 will be determined at the time of Document Verification. The document verification is done before one month of the declaration of the SSC CGL final results.

Q.2. When will the candidates get SSC CGL Admit Card for the year 2020?

Ans. The commission has not yet released the admit card for SSC CGL exam. The expected release date of the SSC CGL admit card is February 2020.

Q.3. What are SSC CGL Age Limit criteria for the CGL 2020?

Ans. Minimum Age to apply for SSC CGL 2019-20 written exam is 18 years and maximum age limit is 32 years. There are certain relaxation on age limit for candidates belonging to special categories.

Q.4. Is there an interview round in the SSC CGL selection Process?

Ans. Under the SSC CGL Recruitment, there are no interviews for any of the posts. Para 9.2 of the official notification for SSC CGL Recruitment 2020 clearly states that – “9.2 Interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview.”

Ans. No such number of attempts is specified in the SSC CGL Official Notification 2020. There are certain age limit criteria along with some relaxations for special category candidates based on which the number of attempts is decided.
