HPSC HCS Exam 2022: Highlights
Similar to the IAS Exam, there are two papers in the HPSC HCS Prelims Question Paper 2022: General Studies and CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test). In order to accommodate this, the exam is therefore divided into two shifts of two hours each. The time gap between the two shifts is three hours.
While the second paper, “CSAT,” is of qualifying nature, it will not affect the HPSC HCS Preliminary examination cut-off, which will be based on marks obtained in the first paper, “General Studies.” Highlights of the exam are given below:
- It should be noted that this exam provides for one-fourth (1/4) negative marks for each incorrect response.
- To qualify the second paper, candidates must receive 33% of the total marks.
- The overall HPSC HCS Prelims exam was moderately difficult.
- The questions from Current Affairs section were comparatively easy.
- The HPSC syllabus, which includes questions on History, Geography, Environment and Ecology, Art and Craft, General Science, and Economy, accounted for most of the questions.
