Indian Coast Guard Syllabus 2023

The Indian Coast Guard is holding a recruiting process for the position of Navik (General Duty) 2023. The sole available application method is online, and candidates must select a centre in accordance with their home state. A total of 225 positions have been made available under the Indian Coast Guard Navik recruitment, which is a great chance for those who want to work in coastal locations. The centre selects online applications for the Indian Coast Guard before being subjected to a written examination with multiple-choice questions of an objective nature. The Physical Fitness Test will be administered to those who pass the written test (PFT). Candidates who pass all examinations will be on the final selection list.

Indian Coast Guard Exam Pattern 2023

The Indian Coast Guard exam pattern highlights the marking scheme, question distribution, passing score range, number of sections, and other information. The Indian Coast Guard Exam Pattern 2023 consists of a total of four stages. 

  • A written test conducted on a computer is part of the first stage of the exam. 
  • Stage 2 consists of the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Document Verification and Medical Exam. 
  • Stage 3 includes the last medical examination and document verification, at INS Chilka. 
  • In Stage 4, candidates are shortlisted for training at INS Chilka. 

The Indian Coast Guard written exam is conducted online through a computer-based test. The exam pattern for the written exam is given below:

Indian Coast Guard: Physical Fitness Test

The Physical Fitness Test (PFT), will be conducted for candidates who pass the written exam and will be conducted for roughly two days. Candidates with physical disabilities are not permitted to apply for this test. The following is a list of the requirements for the physical fitness test:

  • 10 Push-ups
  • 20 squat-ups 
  • 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes

Indian Coast Guard: Medical Examination

Medical testing will be done by licenced military doctors in accordance with the medical criteria outlined in the most recent regulations that apply to enrolled personnel at admission. Candidates will be eligible for the medical examination if they have passed the written test and the physical fitness test.
